MOW focus group meeting 10.30 - 12.00ish, before MOW Party, to review 2010 season and input into next years MOWness. If you can't make it why not join in on the forum or drop us an e-mail.
Three people have written in via the website to thank the team for their help at Leeds festival, given that it takes a lot for people to actually be bothered to do this a collective pat on the back is deserved.
Relations between MOW and Leeds management are at a surprising high, they said that the communication and teamwork between us was the best so far!

Management roles will be added to the brief very soon
18/08/10
The final Leeds shifts are available to download on the Leeds page. Can everyone please confirm they are happy with the shifts that have been allocated
Remember the party theme this year is hero's and villains so get your costumes sorted. The party will last all day (24 hours) on Saturday
The crew sign in stuff has been consolidated onto one sheet that does it all following feedback from Global and Sonisphere

A big hug to one and all for the massive success that was Sonisphere, Global and Leeds Asian Festival on what was one of the biggest weekends MOW has ever tackled.
A really positive outcome of this one has been the amount of training and development undertaken, so that the big weekends are not just about survival but the improvement of our services for the future, a theme that we hope to build on next year.
Congratulations to all those who took on new roles for the first time, feedback has been exemplary, including for the Lovebox/High Voltage crews.
Leeds shifts are going up as soon as the Sonisphere lost property deluge of e-mails has settled
22/07/10
Good weather forecast for High Voltage!!!!
Money is going out now that Download and IOW have paid up, if you have not done so already, send us your bank account details so we can pay you! We do not store any of your details, the bank has them safe.
19/07/10
A pleasant weekend for one and all at Lovebox, thanks everyone. We are rather glad we didn't do Latitude given there were two rapes.
For those going to High Voltage (same site) the postcode is E9 7DE, Grove Road. No parking on site, unless you get there early enough and park/camp behind welfare. Our plan at the moment is to get onsite around 10, site vehicle curfew on show days so beware. Ticket sales are lowish ,approx 8000, so we are expecting a quite weekend.
If going to Global Gathering please make sure you have let Sarah know what shift you prefer ASAP, or if you can't go.
Bizarrely, lost property enquiries continue apace, five people reunited with their stuff today.
05/07/10
We have got a date for the end of Season MOW Party, 18th September at Peacock Inn, Cutthorpe, Chesterfield. There is an events page on facebook.
The shift allocation for Sonisphere is on the website and on the Facebook events page as a photo.
03/07/10
All boxes will in future have a laminated kit list on the inside of the lid, there is also a kit list listing where stuff goes. Can all crew please take ten minutes to familiarise with where stuff goes at the next festival, if you don't know where kit 'lives' please don't just bung it in any old box as this leads to us having to go thru the boxes twice after the event to sort them out. Crew at each event will be rostered onto the rota to oversee take-down.

The briefs and shift patterns are up for Lovebox, High Voltage, Sonisphere and Global Gathering. They have their own pages. Leeds Page will go up very shortly.
The shift allocation for Sonisphere will go up on Monday, we thank all who have been battling hard for the shifts. We have tried to contact everyone who has been offered a place at Sonisphere, if you haven't been contacted about this in the last week unfortunately you have not got a place.
We are still recruiting for Global Gathering and have a couple of places left at Lovebox and High Voltage if people are interested.
If anyone did not complete an invoice at the recent events, you can download one from the Crew Info section and email back to Sarah ministryofwelfare@hotmail.com If you have not given your bank details you also need this to get paid, those who gave bank details last year are still stored with the bank. We have not been paid for the events yet but we hope for payment on Friday.
28/06/10
Future events will have a Signing-In Box where all the sign in/contract stuff will be, ear plugs and tent labels for crew (so we can find peeps) will also be in the box.
Winner of the beer draw was Louise Cameron, congratulations
Feedback from the festivals for Download/IOW has been extremely positive, the organisers have asked us to pass on their thanks
Lost property enquiries continue, some very happy punters have been reunited with their stuff. The website and phoneline seem to have improved accessibility.

MOW Beer Draw
Win a crate of beer (or bottle of spirits), simply write a set of 10 questions based on the resource packs that have just been uploaded.
Each set of 10 questions emailed to Sarah ministryofwelfare@hotmail.com will count as one entry into the draw. The ones we need questions for are; Communications, Drug Awareness, Drug Support, Emotional Support, Eviction Support, First Aid, Front of House, Mental health, Sexual Health, Working in Crash and Working with Children.
A selection of these quizzes will be used to compile a quiz book that will be at the festivals for crew to use.
Each set of 10 questions must be based on the same subject, please provide the answers as well as the questions!
Entries in by 7th June 2010 The winner will be randomly drawn . This competition is open to all.
Good Luck
Ps Old crew can submit their Annual Update for another chance to win
13/05/10
We are having a dedicated lost property post at Download, I have changed the teams to accomodate this and you can download them on the Download Festival page. We are still recruting volunteers.
Competition to win booze - We are having a draw of all the annual updates we recieve before Download / isle of wight weekend. If you have worked with us before you can download the Annual Update Quiz (info section) the little red book and basic training pack have all the answers email back for a chance to win a crate of beer
04/05/10
All documents are now in word 97, if anyone was having problems downloading these.
The shift allocation is up for Download and Isle of Wight. Please check what you have been allocated and please email Sarah to confirm you are Ok with the shifts. The download shifts are very confusing at the moment because we do not know if we are having a dedicated lost property post or not, as soon as I know I will let you know and put up the finalised shifts.
If you have previously worked for us you can now do your annual update using a quiz. You can download this off the crew infomation page and email it back to Sarah. The quiz is estimated to take 30 minutes to an hour, this will save you having to do the 2 hour training at the events. New crew will do training at the events and should ignore this quiz.
19/04/10
We will be moving crew information to a seperate page on the left hand side. We are also creating a seperate page for all the festivals. In each page there will be the brief, this will be updated regularly so please re-check now and again. We will also post up the shift patterns followed by the shift allocation (these will be available as downloads. Please look at your preferred shift patterns and email Sarah ASAP.
